Amazon.com Product Description
Enjoy a dynamic full-body workout anywhere, anytime, with this Flexcords resistance band set. An affordable alternative to a home gym, the Flexcords set comes with six total resistance bands, each with a different tension. The bands--one yellow (3 to 6 pounds), one orange (7 to 12 pounds), one green (12 to 18 pounds), one red (18 to 28 pounds), one blue (28 to 40 pounds), and one white (40 to 55 pounds)--give you complete control of your workout. Simply choose the tension that's best suited to your exercise routine, and then alter the resistance when you switch exercises.

The Flexcords resistance bands set supports more than 100 exercises. Resistance bands offer several advantages over free weights and dumbbells. Resistance bands offer a smooth, seamless workout, because you don't have to waste time changing weights and messing with your rhythm during your exercise. As a result, your heart rate will stay elevated and you'll burn calories constantly. Flexcords also let you do "super sets"--multiple consecutive exercises targeting the same muscle group. By simply changing the angle and position of your body and the arc of your repetitions, you'll keep your muscles guessing and force them to adapt with increased flexibility, strength, and endurance. Best of all, every exercise you perform using Flexcords is dynamic. Even when you're targeting your chest or shoulders, you'll stabilize the muscles in your core and work your joints, helping keep you upright, maintain your posture, and improve your balance. All told, the Flexcords resistance bands set supports more than 100 different exercises.
The Flexcords set comes with a door attachment that turns any doorway into your own personal gym. The door attachment--which fits any door handle--lets you take your Flexcords set on the road, so you don't have to miss a workout when traveling. The set also includes handles for each band and an easy-to-follow exercise chart.

Tim Said: Decent but rather fragile ( Sep. 3rd 2010 )
The bands arrived quickly and contained all of the contents as described. The only annoying part was needing to go to the manufacturers website to find out what the resistance was for each band.
The door handle is great for replacing pull ups when beginning P90X. I am a bit out of shape and cannot do more than a few pull ups so I begin my set on the pull up bar and switch to the bands afterward to complete my set. The heaviest band and the door loop are great for this.
The handles on each band are decent, but they tend to slide around a good bit when using them. It is not enough that I feel it bothers me too much; however, I can see how some people would find it rather annoying. Each band having it's own handles is a huge plus though. Most of the bands I looked at only contained 2 handles for multiple different bands, I would much rather pay a little to not have to switch handles each time I am changing bands.
I got the bands for starting my P90X routine. I am just winding down my second week of the program and 2 of the bands are already beginning to fray. The second and third heaviest bands (blue and red) are beginning to fray near one of the handles. I am rather tall (6'5") so I am not sure if my height is putting extra strain on the bands and taking them to the failure point or if the bands were just poorly designed. The material they are made out of feels like a rather dry rubber so the fraying is not all that surprising to me. When just touching the bands they do not feel much like a high quality elastic I was expecting.
I have contacted the manufacturer to see about getting replacements for the 2 malfunctioning bands.
If they replace the bands free of charge I would be rather pleased as long as the replacements last longer. To be honest though, given the material I do not really expect a replacement product will last much longer. Once I hear back from the company I will update the review with information about the exchange procedures. I wouldn't recommend these bands unless you don't have any other solid options. The individual handles are nice, but the durability of the bands is extremely questionable.
LHALL Said: perfect for P90-X ( Jul. 22nd 2010 )
got these bands so i wouldn't have to get weights and a pull up bar to use with P90-X. they work perfectly. and since i have big hands, on exercises like bicep curls i can use two bands together to add more resistance.
team-d Said: Good quality, very fast delivery, not quite enough resistance ( Jul. 20th 2010 )
They are good bands but I was hoping the larger bands would offer more resistance for my P90X workouts. You can use two bands at once to get there, but grabbing two handles at once is a bit cumbersome. They are good quality bands though, and the delivery was fast, two days to my door step.
Jerry Mann Said: Good product ( Jul. 5th 2010 )
These cords are doing what I wanted them to do. They are great for keeping muscles toned and convenient. The only thing I would have liked was a heavier weight cord.

They seem to get the job done. Not really too much that can go wrong with these - save for breaking out of the box. Exercise "guide" is more of a little pamphlet with about eight exercises on it - not really useful. But that's okay - lots of resources are available elsewhere.
